Overview
As a strategist
I collaborate with executives, external partners, internal channel partners, SEO specialists, freelance writers, and design teams to come up with editorial calendars that help everyone meet their goals. I look to data to understand what audiences care about and how we can make an impact for them. I understand that successful collaboration requires empathy for a variety of different disciplines and a willingness to adapt as circumstances change.
As an editor
Admittedly, I have a soft spot for an Oxford comma—but my editorial eye is more focused on clarity of concept and overall strategy than scrupulous rounds of grammatical revisions. That said, I also know the importance of presenting a clean, polished final product to the world. I believe the words we use are a reflection of our values and identities, and I work hard to make sure that those messages come through consistently and impactfully across platforms.
As a writer
My style of writing is clear and direct. I take a research-first approach to content writing—whether that means interviewing subject matter experts, doing secondary research, or sending surveys to a community of interest. I try not to write anything that I don’t believe adds genuine value. Sometimes I’ve taken an inspirational tone, sometimes I write like a journalist. It depends on the context and the type of content.
